How we ranked them

We priced every London-area IHG hotel that returned both a cash rate and a points price on six nights: Friday November 13, Wednesday November 18, Saturday November 21, Wednesday December 2, Wednesday December 9 and Saturday December 12, 2026. That gave 401 hotel nights at 79 hotels. For each hotel we took the median value per 10,000 points (cash price / points x 10,000, in US dollars) and only ranked hotels with at least three priced nights.

At $55.70 per 10,000 points and above, points usually beat cash. Below $44.50, pay cash. Only 35.9% of London nights reached $55.70, and 8.2% were under $44.50.
